On the exit, the windows compatibility app manifested itself it enabled/ticked/selected Disable display scaling on high DPI settings in its properties – compatibility tab, because I’m using high DPI settings (150%).Īltough it worked well also without that setting (it seems there was nothing changed in the game, like the first time I started it). The game started and finished without problems, although "system requirements" say Windows NT/ 2000/ XP/ Vista. This time I HADN'T to create the shortcut by myself. But when the shortcut isn't created by the setup application of the game, I must do this task myself. I install all the games in d:\games and usually I move the shortcuts from the desktop to that folder. The game installed well on windows 10 standard 圆4 (and previously also in windows 8.1 last year). Virustotal found three false positives -> K7Antivirus found Riskware ( 0040eff71 ), K7GW found Riskware ( 0040eff71 ), Zillya! found 32.77031, but the other 50 engines found nothing. Metascan-online found nothing for readme.txt and for setup.gcd but it found three false positives for the G/GAOTD setup.exe -> virit found, K7 found Riskware ( 0040eff71 ), Zillya! found 32.77031, Fortinet has failed to scan, but the other 39 engines found nothing. I submitted the compressed package to virustotal, metascan-online and Jotti: I submitted the compressed package, and the unzipped files, to WinDefender, SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes and EmsiSoft Emergency Kit (those programs are installed or portable on this PC): no problems detected. GGAOTD TICKER still NOT visible for more informations, see 32nd comment here: Lets hope we have something nice for the Christmas weekend. I feel like I have gotten an early Christmas gift. Stephen, thanks for the overview and the offering today. I would like to have a detailed help menu that I could refer to as I go. I would also like to be able to make them smaller. It would be nice if there were plants with a higher star value. I am enthralled with the moving plants, a really nice touch. The nice crisp graphics are wonderful and the colors are very pleasing. I also appreciate the relaxed mode and it is what it says it is. I like to be able to minimize Frosty Splash while I'm working on other things. That said, I do like the ability to play the game in a window. Search powered by Lunr.I have to say, Playrix has phenomenal games. Search Pixel Poppers About/FAQįirst time here? Lost or confused? I liked the game enough to finish it (or just play it a bunch, for games that don't end). I Stopped Playing When: I finished the game by solving all puzzles. While I haven’t tried it myself, a new patch apparently adds the ability to save and return to partially-completed puzzles. Overall, it’s enjoyable deductive gameplay not quite like anything else. The mechanics are interesting and cleverly applied, though it’s worth noting that there’s no way to save a partially-completed puzzle and return to it later (again, you can work around this by simply taking a screenshot). This first installment has thirty puzzles that will take a couple of hours or so to clear. Restarting the puzzle isn’t fun and it’s also pointless as a punitive measure since you can simply take a screenshot, restart, and then redo everything based on the screenshot. The achievement still feels like a misstep to me, since if you’re trying to get it it’s quite frustrating to be most of the way through a puzzle and then have your mouse slip. ![]() Incorrect attempts to color or clear a cell will be rejected and will increase a “Mistakes” counter - there’s an achievement for clearing puzzles without mistakes but you are not otherwise punished for making them. ![]() ![]() The clues are a mix of Picross-like ones giving information about the cells in a row or column and Minesweeper-like ones giving information about the cells near another cell, but in both cases there’s some extra variation and complexity mixed in. Puzzles are presented on a hex grid with numeric clues that allow the player to deduce which cells must be colored in and which must be blanked out. The first of three games using a puzzle system somewhere between Minesweeper and Picross.
